KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

This casual position will initially be 12 hours per week but with potential to increase for the right person.

  • Assist in ensuring growth of all learn to swim programs.
  • Together with the Program Managers supervise and provide leadership to the Swimming Instructors.
  • Ensure that H2O Swimming Works policies and procedures are always followed to ensure a high level of service to customers.
  • Maintain the professional image of H2O Swimming Works, creating a safe, informative, friendly, and customer-focused environment.
  • Assist in the development and management of staff rosters ensuring coverage of key customer service and program functions.
  • Act as the Duty Manager and First Point of Contact for customers during weekend programming. Therefore, maintaining a high standard of Customer Service.

H2O Swimming Works provides Learn to Swim lessons for all ages and abilities.  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Proven experience and achievement in the learn to swim or leisure industry
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity of staff
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Award or equivalent
  • Current Level 2 First Aid with current CPR.
  • Working With Children's Check
  • Current Driver's license.
  • Must be available both Saturday and Sunday for approximately 6 hours each day.

Desirable:

Lifesaving Victoria Pool Lifeguard Award

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience in the delivery of high-quality customer service, preferably in a learn to swim setting.
  • Experience in aquatic programming and supervision of staff associated with a swim school.
  • Experience in responding to and managing customer requirements.
  • Experience in the development of staff through the delivery of ongoing training programs.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and complaint resolution abilities.
